Flowers For Black Beloveds - Solstice Care Packages

You're invited to come craft with us and learn more about how you can nurture flowering spaces around Diondega (Pittsburgh) this year. Our flower gardens shared so much with us this year. We want to share that beauty with YOU!

Join us on Sunday, December 11th from 3 -7pm at the Irma Freeman Center for Imagination. We'll be processing seeds, arranging dried flowers, blending herbal teas, assembling care packages and writing cards to share with Black folks to celebrate the solstice. Refreshments will be provided. Masks required.

We commit to and will continue to do the life-affirming work of giving Black folks our flowers while we are here. We will honor our beauty, dynamism and power in all of our manifestations.

Flowers for Black Beloveds is a joyful community collaboration between the Black Unicorn Library and Archives Project and Cutting Root Farm and Apothecary.
